01Summary

We do not sell your data

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Only what we need

We collect the details required to answer you, support your systems, and run the service.

Protected

Access is limited, traffic is encrypted, and the site sits behind a security network.

You are in control

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.

02Who we are

This policy applies to the miSupport LLC website and the services we deliver through it, including our contact forms, new client onboarding, support requests, and client portal. miSupport LLC (“miSupport,” “we,” “us”) is a managed IT services company based in Montana and serving businesses across Western Montana.

For the purposes of this policy, we are the business that decides how your personal information is used.

03Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact forms: your name, work email, phone number, company, the topics you select, and your message.
  • New client onboarding: company and contact details, internet provider and connection details, network equipment, the number and type of computers and servers, and the cloud and business software you use.
  • Support requests and tickets: your name, email, callback number, site or location, the equipment involved, a description of the problem, urgency, and anything you choose to attach or write in the ticket.
  • Client portal account: your email address and the credentials used to sign in, plus your ticket history and replies.
  • Correspondence: emails, calls, and messages you send us.

Please do not send passwords, security codes, or payment card numbers through our forms or tickets. If we need access to a system, we will agree on a secure method with you.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, and pages viewed, which our hosting and security providers record in server and security logs.
  • Form submission data: when you submit a form we may record the time and the IP address it came from, to prevent spam and abuse.
  • Cookies: see the Cookies and tracking section below.

Information from remote support and managed services

When you join a remote support session, our technician can see and control your screen for the length of the session, and you can end it at any time. If you are a managed services client, we also handle system, network, and security information about your devices and environment so that we can monitor, maintain, and protect them. We treat that information as confidential and use it only to provide the services you have engaged us for.

04How we use information

  • To respond to your questions and requests, and to schedule or provide support.
  • To onboard new clients and scope the right services.
  • To create and manage tickets, run remote sessions, and keep you updated on their progress.
  • To provide, monitor, maintain, and secure the services you purchase.
  • To operate and protect this website, including detecting spam, fraud, and security threats.
  • To send service messages such as ticket confirmations, replies, and account notices.
  • To meet legal, accounting, and contractual obligations.

We do not use your personal information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

05Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with the following kinds of recipients:

  • Service providers that help us run the website and deliver support, such as our web hosting provider, Cloudflare (content delivery and security), our email delivery provider, and GoTo Resolve (remote support). They may only use the information to provide services to us.
  • Technology vendors you use, when you ask us to open a case or work with them on your behalf.
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants and legal counsel, under confidentiality duties.
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our clients, us, or others.
  • A successor, if miSupport is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We would require the new owner to honor this policy.

06Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use a limited set:

  • Essential cookies keep you signed in to the client portal, protect forms and logins, and support site security and performance, including those set by Cloudflare.
  • Spam protection on our forms may use tokens and hidden fields to tell people from bots.

We do not use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers. If we add analytics in the future, we will describe it here first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, such as sign-in, may stop working.

07Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes in this policy, for example while you are a client, while a ticket or inquiry is open, and afterwards for as long as is reasonably needed to resolve disputes, keep records, and meet legal and tax requirements. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to the limits described below.

08Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, a web application firewall, regular updates, and limiting access to people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by Montana law and other applicable laws.

09Your rights and choices

Montana residents have rights under the Montana Consumer Data Privacy Act, and we extend the same choices to everyone who contacts us. You may ask us to:

  • Confirm and access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccuracies in it.
  • Delete the personal information you provided or we collected about you.
  • Provide a copy in a portable, commonly used format.
  • Opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. We do not engage in these practices.

To make a request, email us at info@misupportllc.com from the address associated with your account, or call us. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within 45 days, and may extend that once by another 45 days where reasonably necessary, and we will tell you why. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our response, and we will answer your appeal within 60 days. If you are still not satisfied, you may contact the Montana Attorney General.

We may keep information that we must retain by law, or need to complete a transaction, resolve a dispute, or maintain security. You will not be treated unfairly for exercising any of these rights.

10Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, for material changes, give more prominent notice. Using our site or services after an update means the updated policy applies.
